The Wait Is Over…Kind Of.

You read that correctly. I have been accepted into LIM College as a Fashion Merchandising major in New York City! Funny story though, I received my housing contract before my actual acceptance letter came in the mail. Go figure. But who’s complaining, right? Literally the second I saw the huge envelope in my mailbox, I became curious as to what was inside. You see, I receive a lot of information about LIM on almost a weekly basis so I kind of assumed it was just a catalog of some sort. I ripped open the envelope anyways and to my amazement I found that I was accepted. I ran inside and just started crying because I was so happy and told my mom that I had been accepted and she started cheering and began jumping up and down with me. You guys have no idea how long I have been waiting to see if I have what it takes to be accepted into a fashion school, in New York City. My dreams are right at my finger tips and I cannot wait until I can visit the campus now. Even reading the website and what all of major consists of gives me butterflies. New York is where I want to be. Something about me just feels like I am being drawn there. Even if it’s not permanently, I know I have to at least try and see what it has to offer for me. I’m not going to lie though, I am terrified of going to New York alone. The city is so big and intimidating and I’ve never been that far away from home without my parents. Yes, I am beyond scared. But this is my dream. I have to step out of my comfort zone and experience my full potential. Don’t get me wrong, I still haven’t officially chosen which college I will be attending in the fall and even if this isn’t the school I end up at, I just know I will end up in New York at some point in my life. Who knows when that will actually be, but let’s just say I hope it is sometime sooner rather than later.

Next step: PICK A COLLEGE.
